It was such a compliment for Jen to fly out from Queensland especially for a breastfeeding session with me. It was going to be tight. Jen was flying in early afternoon and I was off to Tasmania the following day. All going well we would have 2 hours up our sleeve.
Unfortunately an hour before she arrived the heavens opened. Not just a sprinkle but a complete downpour with thunder and lightening to match. My plans for a shoot out at the beach amongst the seaside blooms were doomed. The traffic also caused issues and our 2 hour window diminished very quickly. None the less as night fell and the rain continued we found a lovely spot protected by the tree canopy.
Our adventurous souls in the name of photography came in handy as we headed out like drowned rats. Lucky for Mille she was snuggled right where she loves to be, nurtured and safe with warm milk on tap. Although having to push my camera more than I ordinarily would for portraits and in such horrendous weather I think I still managed to capture the beautiful connection between this special Mother and Daughter.
Thank you Jen for going the extra mile to have a session with me. It was an honour to meet you and your precious little Mille. I hope your images will be treasured for many years to come and be a reminder of the incredible dedication and tremendous love you show as a Mum xx
